This page shows how to mount a PQ Labs Infrared Overlay Touch Panel to an LCD TV. I used a Toshiba 40E210U 40" 1080p LCD TV ($425) With an OmniMount VB100T wall mount ($70) These Only required to clean the glass before assembly Required Materials: Can of compressed air Windex Paper Towels Included Hardware: 10 Sets of Double Sided Sticky Tape 2 Velcro Straps Power Adapter USB Cable with 90 angle Test the layout of the adhesive tape Remove any dust and particles from the LCD Due to the angles and frame coverage on the screen, only one layer of adhesive was used on the top and bottom. Don't forget to connect the straps to the screen. It would be very hard to do this after the panel is mounted to the tv due to the clearance as seen here. Lay the screen down for final alignment. Not much of the strip is even making contact on the top due to the angle on the bezel of the tv. Give the inner side of the touch panel a good once over to remove any fingerprints and dust. There will be some of the adhesive strips visible after the panel is in place. It may be a good idea to trip the adhesive strips so this doesn't happen. Secure the velcrow around the tv Here is the TV-side of the mount. Here is the wall-side of the mount. This particular mount allows for tilt adjustment. This is as much as it tilts. Some of the adhesive tape is visible when looking at a downward angle. It may be a good idea to find some black adhesive tape. Touch Panel Connections - power and USB. The Power connection looked like it was sunk in and not flush with the USB cable. It is not really visible in this image. TV Side buttons Touch Panel Connected All the connections: Touch panel Power, Touch Panel USB, HDMI, TV Power As a bonus, the IR receiver was still visible, so the remote still worked! When the mac is disconnected, this is what shows up.
